FormaFile reduces exposure by processing file-tool data locally in the browser instead of sending those files to an application server for conversion or editing.
Last updated: May 21, 2026
FormaFile's core file tools operate in the browser. This reduces the need to send file contents across the network and lowers the risk that sensitive document data is exposed through server-side processing pipelines.
Temporary browser storage is used to move processed results between tool screens and the results view. That storage is local to your device and browser profile.
Some features (such as Recent Work) may also store lightweight metadata locally (for example, a record of your last completed job) so the site can render helpful device-only UI. This data is not required to run the file tools and can be cleared via in-app controls or your browser storage settings.
Contact requests are transmitted over the internet. Treat the contact form as a standard web form, not as a secure document transfer channel.
You remain responsible for the security of your own device, browser, extensions, and saved files. Review outputs before using them in production, legal, medical, or other high-stakes contexts.
Security note
FormaFile is built to reduce unnecessary exposure, but no browser-based workflow can remove all risk. Keep your browser, device, and extensions updated.
